A Switch - from iOS to Android.

The switch from iOS to Android has made me incredibly happy for some reason.  Now, I am no gadget expert and I'm barely up to date when it comes to gadgets, but I must say that I am honestly in love with how the Note 3 looks physically.  The back features faux leather, as well as stitching which makes it look fab!  The screen is wide so it makes it better for watching movies or series whenever I'm on my break at work.  Not to mention, it's user friendly!

I was so reluctant to give up my iPhone (because I was so used to it and it's been with me for a while) but when Carlos got this for me on my birthday, I thought I'd give it a chance (just like I did with the rest of my other phones).  So far, I'm loving it!  Maybe it's the thought of having a matching black one with my love. :)

Merci beaucoup!

March is one of my favorite months... only because it's my birth month!  HAHA!  I had no intention of celebrating my birthday, though I must say, I was fortunate enough to do so (with both my family and friends).  The celebration with my friends was really fun, we had a lot to eat and a lot of laughs and as expected, I got teased at some points for the way I speak (not that there's anything wrong with the way I do).  Anyway, it wasn't just my birthday that we celebrated but it was also a reunion for Tiffany came to Macau from Indo.  Yayy!  Hahaha I was really excited to see her even though we just met a month ago.

The night ended pretty quickly and it was most likely because we were having wayyyy too much fun that we weren't aware of the time.  It's a pity that everyone had to leave early because we all had to work the next day.  Screw working!  Oh well!  I still had fun though and I want to thank everyone who were able to make it and to everyone who greeted me on facebook, wechat, line, twitter, instagram and via e-mail!  Thank you!  It's been the best birthday so far!

Thanks for the pressies!

I really love the presents I got and I'm so thankful.  I honestly wasn't expecting anything from my friends so this was really a surprise so thank you!

Thank you baby for surprising me two days before my birthday!  I was soooo overwhelmed with joy when I got back and saw this on the table with our sandwiches.  HAHAA!  Anyway, this month has been really awesome!  I just can't say thank you enough.

P.S.  I just wanted to share the moments and photos on my birthday on this blog and just to clarify, I have no intention of bragging or something of that sort.  I hope you like the photos.  Till next post.

Better late than never.

What I'm wearing: Jacket,Skinnies,Beanie & Necklace: Forever 21, HK| Jumper: Zara, Jakarta Shoes: Nike store |

Soooooo I'm taking a break from blogging about my adventures in Jakarta as I wanted to share the photos that were taken last weekend by my dear friend, Joseff.  Honestly, we picked a bad day to take ootd photos since the sun had not come out to play.  Oh well.  I still like the photos though and I really liked what I was wearing then so I just felt the need to share them.  I was going for a really comfy-casual kind of look, as always.  HAHA!  Anyway, you're probably wondering about my title post and in fact, they're associated with the items I'm wearing.  I'm not really up to date when it comes to fashion or what's on trend but I don't really mind because it's not like I blog about fashion on a regular basis.  If you haven't guessed about which items I'm referring to, it's the pair of shoes I'm wearing above! :)  Honestly, I've been seeing them everywhere so I asked my little sis, Pat where she got hers and it wasn't until last week that I finally decided to buy them, ergo, that's my title.  I really wanted the black ones cos I thought they'd go well with any outfit but since they were out of stock, I settled for the grey ones instead and I LOVE them!  I hope you like the photos and till next post.

Beatrice Quarters.

Before I even got off the car, I immediately spotted this little cafe where Pamela and Arbi were going to take us which at first I thought looked a little bit old school.  My reason for thinking that way at that time was probably because of how it looked from the outside, not to mention it looked like it was for kids.  Of course, my view changed the moment we sat down and were given menus.  Everything there is adorable!!  From their menus to the waitresses' uniforms and the presentation of their food.  The ambience was just perfect as everyone seemed to be in their most relaxed state.

The food was really delish!  If you have a sweet tooth like me, then you'll love the cakes/desserts they offer.  Oh and the strawberry milk tea was just heavenly yummy!  I'm probably exaggerating too much, but it was really good cause it was the first time I've ever tasted something like it.  It never even occurred to me that such a drink existed.  Haha!  Anyway, if ever you're in Jakarta, the drink is a must-try!  I hope you enjoy the photos.  Till next post. :)

Jakarta Photo Diary.

Jakarta was a blast!!!  Good food, awesome people, interesting culture and most of all a CNY holiday well spent!  I always enjoy travelling because of everything I just mentioned previously, but most of all it's because of the experience I gain through interacting with people.  The feeling I felt while I was there is inexplicable because even though there were a lot of times when I did not understand what they were talking about, I still felt welcome.  It's as though there was a connection with only the slightest bit of awkwardness in the beginning and after bonding through card games, eating and mall hopping, the latter part disappeared.  It is those wonderful moments that I treasure the most because after everything I've seen, the only thing I tend to remember is the overwhelming joy I felt.  Till next post, loves!

Jakarta 2014!

My first trip of the year: I decided to go to Jakarta.  Why Jakarta, one might ask?  Well, because I have a friend whom I have not seen for a while now so I thought I'd visit her and trust me when I say that Jakarta is one of the best cities to go to.  Why?  Well, because I had the most AMAZING time there as it reminded me of home (Macau and Philippines) but mostly of the latter one. :)  And yup, I went there alone so I was able to bond with my awesome friend and her wonderful family.  Oh and her friend, Bill.  Words cannot even express how incredibly nice they were for bringing me around the city and taking me to different places to eat. =D

Anyway, I honestly had no idea that Chinese New Year was also celebrated there so it came as a bit of a surprise for me when we went to the malls and they had all those lantern decorations, lion dances, performances and stuff.  It was really nice to have been able to celebrate the holiday elsewhere for a change.

I was only able to take photos with my phone so the quality isn't really that great.  Oh well, till next post.

How weekends should be.

Weekends are honestly my favorite time of the week because that's usually the only time I have for myself, my family, friends and of course, Carlos.  However, there are some Saturdays wherein I still have to go to work which just pisses me off!  As if being in the office from Monday to Friday isn't enough.  Gah!

Anyway, I'll stop complaining now since it won't get me anywhere. :)  Instead, I'll just tell you about how I spent my weekend last week.  Weekends, for me, are usually spent on pigging out!  Lots and lots of pigging out here and there no matter who I'm with because that's when I get to stop and think about what I really want to have.  And I'm never usually in a rush so yea.  Last weekend, my childhood friend, Ana, asked me in the middle of the week whether I wanted to go to HK and without hesitation I said yes!  Therefore, we went to catch the ferry right after work on Friday, put our stuff down in our room and headed to Central where we had breakfast for midnight!  Aaaah yes!  The Flying Pan is just pure love since they're open 24/7 and serve good food!

We then went to LKF (Lan Kwai Fong) afterwards where we just had a pint of beer each since we were exhausted from working for the whole day and everything.  However, I did have a lot of fun chatting with my dear friend and it was nice being able to hang out with her.  :)

The next day we checked out and went to Mong Kok, probably the busiest and crowded district in HK.  And the first thing we did was to look for a place to eat because we were starving and so after walking for a couple of minutes, we decided to eat at this place called Teawood.  Aaah yes!  I remember wanting to eat there with Carlos a couple of months back but it was packed so we decided not to.  However, Ana and I were able to get a table right away since there weren't much people at noon.  We both ordered a set meal plus their yummy dessert below.  It was sooooo good and I recommend you all to try it if ever you're in HK, this is a MUST!

Headed to Causeway Bay and then to Central after doing a little shopping in Mong Kok and let's just say I'm a little broke at the moment.  Hahaha!  But it was totally worth it!

We both thought the day (Saturday) went by really quickly and maybe it's because we were having too much fun!  Oh well!  I just hope we can do this again sometime soon and hopefully with a lot more people because after all, the more, the merrier right?  Hope you all had a great weekend and liked the photos!  Cheers!
